As Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram all implode, Mark Zuckerberg remains silent.
MARK ZUCKERBERG has failed to reply to his three major social media platforms, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram, experiencing a global outage. Many people have resorted to Twitter to express their dissatisfaction with the quiet.
As one user, Siva, inquired, “Where are you Mark Zuckerberg?” memes flooded the internet.
Millions of social media users have taken to Twitter, which has been unaffected, to discuss the situation, creating a slew of memes and puns aimed at Facebook and its CEO, Mark Zuckerberg.
With Twitter still operational, some have speculated on how the site’s traffic may be affected.
“I wonder how hard Twitter usage jumps when Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp all go down at the same time?” MKBHD wondered.
Another quipped that the big three firms would have to move their updates to Twitter.
“WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook are flocking to Twitter to declare that their services are down right now,” Satyachowdary66 tweeted, adding multiple emojis of tears and laughing.
Others have taken a more serious stance on the issue, questioning whether the sites have been compromised by malicious hacking.
One Twitter user, KemsForU, wrote to Mark Zuckerberg, saying: “What happens when you use WhatsUp, Instagram, or Facebook? Is your server hacked? Why are all of your apps down?” Whatsapp, in a Tweet, urged people to be patient.
The following was part of the statement: “We’re aware that some people are having problems using WhatsApp right now. We’re attempting to restore normalcy and will provide an update as soon as possible. Thank you for being so patient!” A similar attitude was expressed on Facebook: “We’re aware that some users are having difficulty using our applications and services. We’re working hard to restore normalcy as soon as possible, and we apologize for any trouble this has caused.”
