US PRESIDENT Joe Biden’s popularity has plummeted to new lows today, as a telling poll revealed Americans’ anxieties about the country’s future.
President Biden’s popularity has plummeted to an all-time low of 50.4 percent, according to the most recent poll. The shocking results coincide with a rising disapproval rating of 43.6 percent, which is the highest of his administration so far.
FiveThirtyEight, a polling aggregator, has been updating the president’s popularity rating on a regular basis.
Biden’s approval rating has remained lower than that of previous President Barack Obama, and far lower than those of John F Kennedy and Jimmy Carter at the same point in their tenure.
Americans are worried about a variety of issues, with the coronavirus epidemic, the economy, and vaccination rates all playing a role in their trust in the president.
Inflation in the United States has risen by 5.4 percent in a year, the highest rate in more than a decade.
Following the pandemic, there has also been a labor shortage, with open jobs reaching 9.2 million in June.
The poll aggregation by FiveThirtyEight combined the opinions of 6,607 US adults from five polls conducted between July 31 and August 8.
