Can the Arizona Wildcats win another Pac-12 game Friday?
Kevin Sumlin’s team faces a tough task against the Utah Utes in Salt Lake City.
Utah enters the game as almost a two-touchdown favorite (13.5 points) and most college football pundits like their chances to win at home over the Wildcats.
Check out what they are saying about the Pac-12 South showdown:

Theo Lawson writes: “The Wildcats seemingly want Khalil Tate to become more of a thrower this year, but maybe they should return to their old tactics in this game against a Utah team that’s one of the country’s best against the pass. Utes running back Zack Moss is seeking his third consecutive 100-yard game and could get it easily.”

John Coon writes: “Before the season began, both Utah and Arizona were seen as potential favorites to win a Pac-12 South title. It has been a bumpy road for both teams since that time. For Utah, however, that road seems to be smoothing out. The Utes have one of the nation’s top defenses and they are finally finding an offensive identity. Arizona needed a pair of defensive touchdowns to hang on to beat California. The Wildcats’ struggles on offense will catch up to them in Salt Lake City.”

Pete Fiutak writes: “Fresh off the great road win at Stanford, Utah will shine at home with the national spotlight on. The offense might not be spectacular, but it’ll keep the chains moving, Arizona isn’t going to generate enough defensive pressure, and even though this is supposed to be a showcase for the Arizona big-name quarterback, Huntley will outplay Tate.”

Brett Nault writes: “Arizona pulled off a much needed victory against California, however, it’s still quite concerning their offense was only able muster 265 yards of offense. Utah looked impressive against Stanford and has been outstanding on the defensive end as they rank just 18th in scoring defense. Arizona is going to have real trouble establishing any sort of a run game against Utah’s 3rd ranked rushing defense and as I don’t think the Wildcats will be able to score 14 points on the defensive side of ball again, I think Utah pulls away from Arizona in this one in the 2nd half and covers this spread.”

Nick Raffoul writes: “Tate seems to be trying to develop into more of a pocket passer, and while that might be the best thing for his future, I’m not sure it is what is best for this Wildcats offense. With that being said, they’ve shown more balance this season and you have to believe he isn’t going to complete abandon the run game all season long. Utah is primed for a let down game after a big win on the road against Stanford last week. Arizona has played three games that have been decided by a touchdown or less this season and I expect this to be a closely contested conference matchup, so take the Wildcats to cover the spread on the road in this PAC 12 South battle.”
picksandparlays.com: Utah 30, Arizona 14
It writes: “Utah has played very well against the run allowing just an average of 75.8 yards per game and that is Arizona’s strength with an average of 201.8 rushing yards per game. The Arizona defense is allowing 197.3 yards per game on the ground and Utah is averaging 186.4 yards per game on the ground, which is in the Utes favor. Look for a low scoring close game with Utah scoring late to win.”
