The current series of fire bombings in Melbourne has involved a reality TV celebrity.

A vehicle dealership owned by former Married At First Sight groom James Susler was set on fire at around 4.50 a.m. on Tuesday, prompting the call for emergency services.

Police are treating the incident at the Chery vehicle dealership in Port Melbourne as suspicious.

According to Seven News, two attackers allegedly attacked the dealership, which was scheduled to officially open on Wednesday.

Additionally, it was alleged that other dealership cars suffered smoke damage and one vehicle had been completely destroyed.

Due to a recent firebombing at a nearby company connected to the dealership, it was also stated that the dealership had a security guard on duty.

James Susler, a star of MAFS, has been caught up in the recent spate of fire bombings in Melbourne.

James’s car dealership was set on fire at around 4.50 a.m. on Tuesday, prompting the call for emergency services.

James stated that the incident was totally unexpected in an interview with Seven News on Tuesday morning.

Reporter Andrew McCormack said, “What’s it like inside?” James said, “I haven’t been inside yet.”

Andrew then questioned James about any threats made against the dealership prior to the incident.

“But we’ll move on from this,” James continued. “No, we know as much as you guys,” he remarked. “We’ll persevere and grow stronger.”

Dealership manager Victor Sargin told ABC Radio Melbourne that most of the damage was caused by smoke. “It looks like they’ve poured some fuel on the floor [and] lit it up,” he said. “Luckily, the floors are hard floors, so those flames have only caught onto some furniture and the reception desk at the front.”

According to Seven News, two attackers allegedly attacked the dealership, which was scheduled to officially open on Wednesday. Additionally, it was stated that several showroom automobiles suffered smoke damage and one vehicle had been destroyed. “We know as much as you guys,” James told Sunrise on Wednesday. “But we’ll put this behind us.”We will grow stronger and more resilient.

The announcement was made a few days after James expressed his delight about the new location’s opening on Instagram. He claimed that the team had “poured everything” into the new endeavour after posting a number of pictures and videos of the website to his and Chery Melbourne’s Instagram pages.

Police have not verified whether the incident will be looked into by the Operation Eclipse task force, which is investigating the numerous arson attacks on hospitality venues, according to the ABC.

We’ve poured everything into creating a space you’ll love and we couldn’t be more proud to welcome you into Australia’s biggest Chery showroom.”

James became well-known as a groom on the 2021 season of Married At First Sight, where he was paired with Joanne Todd.

He didn’t succeed in falling in love with Joanne, but with Alessandra Rampolla, things were different.

During a commitment ceremony, the groom surprised his wife by declaring his love for the MAFS specialist.

“I don’t get the joke,” said an unimpressed Alessandra. I find it really disrespectful that Jo is seated beside you.

“I was just kidding.” I was attempting to lighten the atmosphere. “I apologise,” James said.

“It’s not a good joke,” Alessandra remarked.
