Aldi issues urgent milk recall as over fears it’s contaminated

Aldi has issued a product recall for almond milk stocked at supermarkets across the country.

The recall was released on Friday amid fears the Inner Goodness UHT Almond Milk Original 1L is contaminated.

The impacted cartons have been available for sale at Aldi stores across Australia, with a best before date of April 18, 2021.

The ‘precautionary’ recall explains the problem with the milk is ‘potential microbial contamination’.

‘Food products with microbial contamination may cause illness if consumed,’ the recall said.

Aldi shoppers who purchased the milk are advised against consuming it.

Customers can return the product to any Aldi store for a refund of the purchase price.

Customers concerned about their health are encouraged to seek medical advice.

‘Aldi Stores takes product quality and safety seriously and we apologise for any inconvenience,’ the recall said.
