Gin drinkers can rejoice as Aldi Australia is set to launch a massive sale on a range of popular spirits, including two award-winning flavours.
The budget-friendly tipples will hit supermarket shelves on Wednesday, August 5 as part of the chain’s Special Buys liquor range.
Among the deals is the $39.99 Greyson’s Seville Orange and Persian Lime Gin, which was named the best flavour in the world of 2020 at the prestigious Gin Masters competition following a blind tasting be a panel of experts.
The gin, which was one of 40 finalists in the category, has been described as ‘smooth, bright with fresh citrus notes, followed by flavours of sweet lime, juniper and zesty orange’.
Ha’Penny Dublin Dry Gin, which took home the silver medal at the 2019 World Gin Awards, will also go on sale for $44.99.
The Irish handcrafted gin is made with blackberries, lavender, geranium and dandelion flowers and ‘draws inspiration’ from the flora once found in the walled gardens of Dublin’s iconic Phoenix Park.
With its pretty pale colour and the sweetness of raspberries and strawberries, shoppers will be able to get their hands on the refreshing Gordon’s Pink Gin for $39.99.
Rich, warm and fruity with bursts of berry flavours, Greyson’s Spiced Apple and Winter Berry Gin will be available for $44.99.
The spirit has a hint of apple and a touch of cinnamon, and can be paired with tonic and a slice of apple or with ginger ale for some extra spice and warmth.
The sale will be available at selected stores in New South Wales, ACT, Victoria, and Western Australia for a limited time only, white stocks last.
