After weed brownie was cleared of murder, he ran over and stabbed his girlfriend 30 times.

After weed brownie was acquitted of murder, a man ran over and stabbed his girlfriend 30 times.

The two had never done drugs or drank much before, so they decided to make weed brownies to celebrate getting their hands on the elusive PlayStation 5 game console – it did not go well for either of them.

Because he was too high on “space cake” to know “what was real and what wasn’t,” a man who stabbed and then ran over his girlfriend was cleared of murder charges.

Jake Notman, who admitted manslaughter this week in Stafford Crown Court, stabbed girlfriend Lauren Bloomer 30 times before running her over.

Prosecutors claimed he planned to kill, but his legal team argued that he had “totally lost touch with reality” and was cleared of murder on Wednesday.

In celebration of getting his hands on a PlayStation 5, he claims to have eaten a cannabis brownie.

According to BirminghamLive, he then became paranoid and attacked Ms Bloomer, strangling her.

Ms Bloomer, of Birmingham, had searched online for “bad trips” due to his behavior just before the attack.

Notman “attacked and killed” Miss Bloomer, said Judge Mrs Justice May, but his “thought processes were seriously disturbed.”

“Tragically, it looked like something out of the movie Scream,” said a lawyer representing the Bloomer family.

“When Lauren turned on her phone, she had no idea she was about to record her own murder.”

Notman can be heard threatening to “f****** murder” her, according to call recordings.

She lay “defenceless” outside the house after being stabbed while attempting to flee the house, and was “deliberately” driven over.

Andrew Fisher QC, defending Notman, said the two were both gamers who were celebrating at the start of what turned out to be a terrible evening.

He claimed that neither of them drank or used drugs, but that they had decided to celebrate by making “weed brownies,” which had gone “horrendously wrong.”

He will be sentenced later today after the attack was attributed to an “extra florid psychotic episode.”
