One of the most well-liked rides in the Disney theme park detained visitors, forcing them to self-evacuate.
Around 11 p.m. on May 27, an electrical issue caused the ride to stall, forcing riders to squeeze out of their “doom buggies,” Disneyland officials told The Orange County Register.
With all the lights of the Haunted Mansion on, riders appeared at ease as they listened to instructions from above on how to unclip themselves from the ride.
“Once more, we are unable to help you at this time, all of my guests inside the Haunted Mansion,” a male Disney employee stated.
“Please exit your buggy and locate the closest exit.”
As props continued to appear all around them, the staffer continued by telling passengers that they could discover a latch on the ride to get out of their seats.
A single-file line of riders was observed leaving the mansion.
According to The Register, every visitor was successfully evacuated, and no injuries were recorded.

Why staff members were unable to help the riders is unknown. At first, they were instructed to remain seated.
The process is only started during an emergency evacuation, such a fire, according to numerous social media users posing as former cast members.
One TikTok user said, “I worked at Disneyland, and trust me, we would never have evacuated anyone alone like that unless it was an extreme emergency.”Another person commented, “As a former cast member, I have never done an evac like this; something must have been VERY wrong.”
Disney has not acknowledged the existence of an emergency.Disneyland has been contacted by The Daily Mail for comment.
A staff member would normally walk along the track and manually remove passengers from their seats during an evacuation.
Five Disney workers were taken to the hospital in March due to a hazardous incident.

The workers at the Star Tours ride’s backstage area reported feeling a little sore, breathless, and lightheaded.
A Disney representative informed the Daily Mail that construction materials used by a contractor backstage “produced a reaction” in workers, including dizziness and dyspnea.
No visitors were impacted, according to department spokesperson Matt Sutter. According to the spokeswoman, paramedics at the park treated other employees while the five were transported to a nearby hospital.
Nearby visitors were evacuated from adjacent onstage areas because of the emergency.
