After Queen Elizabeth’s death, Prince Charles cautioned that the nation would be “very hesitant” to see him become King.

A campaigner has told Prince Charles that he will face greater scrutiny and criticism than the Queen when he succeeds to the throne.

The Queen’s and Prince Charles’s contrasting images and pasts, according to Republic CEO Graham Smith, will make it more probable for people to criticize the Prince of Wales after he becomes King. However, a royal expert disagreed, arguing that the heir to the throne has been able to carve out a place for himself and carry out essential work in his unique position as Prince of Wales for the longest time.

“I think the Queen has played a part, she having been on the throne for so long people will imagine that’s what the monarchy is about,” Mr Smith, who campaigns for the election of the next head of state in Britain, told This website.

“Charles is a totally different person, and he portrays himself in a very different light.

“People are hesitant to criticize the Queen, but they are eager to criticize Charles, and that is not going to change when he becomes King,” Mr Smith believes. As a result, Mr Smith believes the next King will not “resonate with the British public” once he follows in the Queen’s footsteps.

“So we will have a King who does not resonate with the British public in any way, he does not appear to have any kind of link back to our past in the way that I think people see the Queen has, and he is someone who people are very happy to have a go at, criticize, and challenge, and he has given people plenty of reasons to do so over the years,” he added.

His turbulent divorce from Princess Diana, as well as his liaison with Camilla, have both been criticized.

“Of course, we should be able to criticize everyone,” Mr Smith added, “but the Queen comes from a time when deference was much higher, so by the time it started to fade, it clung to her but not to her children or grandchildren.

“I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that she doesn’t say much in public and doesn’t get involved in.”Brinkwire Summary News”.
