After attending the Reading Festival, a 20-year-old girl died in hospital “with family by her side.”
The producers of the Reading Festival have revealed that a 20-year-old female died after attending the festival.
The woman had a pre-existing ailment and was surrounded by her family when she died on Friday at Royal Berkshire Hospital after being hospitalized.
Festival Republic announced in a statement, “It is with great sadness that Festival Republic confirms there has been a fatality at Royal Berkshire Hospital.”
“On Friday evening, a 20-year-old festival-goer with a pre-existing ailment unfortunately died.”
“Her family was with her when she died,” they added.
“We have been in contact with her family and want to express our heartfelt condolences to them and her friends.”
The death was not a police problem, according to Thames Valley Police.
Stormzy, Liam Gallagher, and Post Malone were among the performers at the 2021 event.
The coronavirus epidemic forced the cancellation of Reading and Leeds 2020.
This year’s attendees showed documentation of complete immunization and negative lateral flow testing.
Over 100,000 people are said to have attended the festival.
Little John’s Farm on Richfield Avenue hosts the Reading Festival.
The National Jazz Festival was founded in 1961 and was previously known as the National Jazz Festival.
This makes it one of the longest-running popular music festivals.
