Fortunately, the driver, a local woman, was unharmed. She was the only person in the car when the pole struck the side of the passenger seat.
According to reports, the woman took a breathalyzer test and received a positive result of 0.110, which is more than double the legal alcohol limit.
The 32-year-old was accused of driving while intoxicated and driving carelessly, and she was handed a six-month immediate license suspension by the police. She will have to appear in court at a later time.
