According to a hypnotherapist, there are ways to overcome your fear of death and dying.

Death may not be something you want to think about too much, but the truth remains that there is only one way out of this world, and it is the same for everyone, regardless of who they are or where they came from.

Dipti Tait, a hypnotherapist, lost both of her parents when she was just 40 years old.

Tait, who lives in the Cotswolds, has published a follow-up to her first book, Good Grieving, about grief and the fear of dying.

“The first one, Good Grief, was an exploration of death itself as a result of the trauma of losing both my parents to cancer,” she explained. My father died when I was 23 years old, and my mother died when I was 37.

“I was an only child and felt very alone, but then I realized I’m still here, I’ve survived, and that’s an essential lesson to learn: how to make your life the way you want it.

However, a new book, Planet Grieving: Redefining Grief for the Real World, aims to answer our concerns about grief and death. ‘I’m not afraid of death anymore, and I think a lot of the struggle we have in life comes from a deep, deep fear of death,’ says Naval Ravikant in the introduction.

“I don’t have a fear of dying anymore,” Tait said, “and I realized this is something we need to talk and communicate about more to make it less frightening, because we’re all experiencing some form of death and loss every day, especially with the pandemic, which was in a sense a death of agency, freedom, control, and the way we knew life – everything changed.”

“Some people had a bad day, while others were able to ‘pivot,’ demonstrating how vital it is to have a different viewpoint on things.”

The fear originates from one or more of several factors, including the fear of dying in a certain way, or of not knowing what will happen next, or of missing out, or of losing those you care about. Whatever the reason for someone’s apprehension, it’s evident that the prospect of death is generally accompanied by feelings of dread.

Fear, according to Tait, is just the discomfort of knowing that one day we will no longer exist.
