A13 traffic updates: The A13 has been closed due to a multi-vehicle accident. Emergency services are on the scene.
A automobile incident involving four vehicles has closed the A13 eastbound between Stanford-Le-Hope and Five Bells.
At around 8.30 a.m. today, a multi-vehicle crash near the A176 junction was reported. On the A13 Stanford-Le-Hope bypass, emergency personnel rushed to the area, however the eastbound carriageway remained closed. Although a diversion has been put in place, the road closure has caused considerable delays in the neighboring communities.
According to traffic data, traffic is at a standstill for at least two kilometers.
Because to the collision, the A176 Five Bell junction has now been closed.
Two ambulances were dispatched to the scene by the East of England Ambulance Service, with two people being transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
“Two ambulances responded to a road traffic collision on the A13 near Stanford-le-Hope just after 8.45 a.m. today,” they stated in a statement.
“Two people were conveyed for treatment to Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals.”
Other emergency personnel are working to transfer the automobiles as quickly as possible so that the route can reopen.
