A Google Maps user was horrified to discover Pennywise, the blood-soaked killer clown, hiding in a doorway.

The prankster timed his shot perfectly, as he now has Google Maps explorers all over the world terrified at the sight of him brandishing a bloody knife.

On Google Maps, a terrifying blood-soaked figure dressed as Pennywise the clown, wielding a knife and lurking creepily in a door frame has been spotted.

The horror figure stands peering out of a door spattered in “blood” at the entrance of a flat in Montreal, Canada, in the screenshot.

The prankster timed the shot perfectly, as online explorers around the world are now shocked to see him brandishing a bloody knife just as the infamous Google camera van drove by.

It’s unclear whether they were aware of the van’s existence and planned the event, or if they were simply at a Halloween party and thought they’d have some fun.

Pennywise was a terrifying killer clown who appeared in Stephen King’s 1986 horror novel IT.

The evil entity that preys on children in Maine, USA, reappears roughly every 27 years, largely unnoticed by adults.

Another creepy Google Maps find was a scarecrow that looked like a dead body.

@Cinnamonbunns2 on Reddit claimed to have come across a shadowy figure while looking for parking near the Crystal Ballroom nightclub in Portland, Oregon.

Some believed the sighting was a corpse rather than a scarecrow because the person-shaped creation stood with its arms out and a white carrier bag over his head.

He was described as a “handless man” with a bag on his head by one user.

“A guy was shot and killed two weeks ago at midnight in front of the old Starbucks at 20th and Morrison,” another said, referring to recent murders in the area.

It’s not a bad place to walk around in at all.”

“It’s a scarecrow,” a third said of the photograph.

The ends of the arms and legs are tied off to keep the stuffing in place.”

“Well, it did its job… it scared me,” a fourth said.

“Don’t park there,” a fifth said.
