A horrific delivery tragedy claimed the lives of a young woman and her little daughter.
Around 1:00 PM on Friday, the bodies of 33-year-old Polish national Monika Kubasiewicz and her daughter were found in the bathroom.
She, her partner, and their two young children had been residing in Carrick-on-Suir, County Tipperary, Ireland.
According to investigators, Ms. Kubasiewicz and her infant passed away several hours before they were discovered.
The young woman and her infant were declared dead when emergency personnel arrived on the scene.
The 33-year-old had a post-mortem examination on Friday, and Irish police do not suspect foul play.
Officers think the baby girl perished in a “tragic accident” as her mother was giving birth.
“Gardaí continue to investigate all of the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the bodies of a woman (aged in her 30s) and an infant at a domestic residence in Carrick-on-Suir, Co,” a gardai spokeswoman informed the Daily Mail. Tipperary on Friday, May 8, 2026.

“The preparation of a file for the coroner is the current focus of the Gardai investigation.”
“Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of an incident at a domestic residence in Carrick-on-Suir, Co,” a spokesperson earlier stated. Tipperary on Friday, May 8, 2026, in the afternoon.
At the scene, a newborn and a lady in her 30s were declared dead. The scene is kept intact for analysis.
“The investigation’s path will be determined by a post-mortem examination.”
“There has been a tragedy in Carrick-on-Suir,” stated David Dunne, a Sinn Fein councillor there, on Friday.
“I would ask people not to share anything they are hearing or have been sent, and not to speculate about what happened.”
According to the Irish Mirror, Ms. Kubasiewicz moved into the Co Tipperary house about three months ago with her partner and their two kids, ages three and four.
Before the epidemic struck in early 2020, they co-owned a store in Clonmel, but they had to close it.
They had been living in temporary housing prior to relocating to their new residence.
