A 13-year-old child is fighting for his life after being shot in the back on a crowded roadway.
After getting shot in the back last night, a 13-year-old boy is fighting for his life in the hospital.
At around 7 p.m., the kid was shot as he wandered alongside a major road in Hockley, Birmingham. He was rushed to the hospital, where he is now in critical condition.
The area’s roads are still closed today as a police forensics team investigates the horrifying shooting.
As he passed by the neighborhood Friday night, Imran Hameed said he spotted police vans, cars, cops in high-visibility jackets, and unmarked vehicles with blue flashing lights.
“I was driving through Bingley Hall at 7.53pm and there were probably eight or nine ordinary police cars and undercover cars,” he told Birmingham Live.
“Officers were strewn about.”
