The chicken wing festival in Manchester is poised to return for a second year.
A FESTIVAL devoted to all things chicken wings will be held for the second year in a row in Manchester.
Wing Fest is a two-day event that honors the bite-sized savory snack by allowing foodies to sample the greatest wings in the business. This year’s event is anticipated to offer around 70,000 wings, with festival-goers paying just £1 each to sample as many as they can.
Chicken connoisseurs will be asked to vote for the finest wings in the competition, with a panel of expert judges also expected to weigh in.
BBQ demonstrations, a funfair, live music, and the opportunity to attempt axe throwing are among the other activities available during the festival.
Guests who want to compete in the eating contests should arrive hungry in order to earn the prizes.
Wing Fest was last hosted in 2019 and was scheduled to take place in June, but owing to covid restrictions, the event was pushed back to Saturday and Sunday, September 25 and 26.
Wing Fest will take place on Manchester’s First Street South, with ticket costs varying based on when you arrive.
Early bird admission is £17.50 between 12 and 1 p.m., ordinary admission is £20 until 1 p.m., and VIP admission is £95 after 12 p.m.
Wings from ten traders will be supplied throughout the day, five drink tokens, a Wing Fest branded trucker cap, t-shirt, and Frank’s RedHot sauce will be given to VIP participants.
