“If you have heartburn, look for a link between what you’re eating and the commencement of your heartburn,” Leyla advised.

“You may have a fat digestion issue if your heartburn is provoked by highly processed foods that contain substances like rapeseed or sunflower oil, fried foods, or naturally fatty foods like olive oil.”

You may feel a build-up of gasses and low-grade inflammation if your body has trouble manufacturing fat-digesting enzymes.

This might result in soreness under the right side of the rib cage, which can last up to 40 minutes after eating and is most commonly associated with fatty foods.
