Season 16 of ‘Sister Wives,’ why did Christine and Kody Brown break up?

Why did Christine and Kody Brown break up in Season 16 of ‘Sister Wives’?

After 25 years of marriage, the couple decided to call it a day.

Where did everything go wrong?

Christine was clearly at her breaking point with the family in the Season 15 finale of ‘Sister Wives,’ when she announced that she wanted to move back to Utah, which no one agreed with.

Christine and Kody were married in 1994 and have six children together.

TLC premiered the controversial American reality show in 2010.

The show follows a polygamist family, including father Kody Brown, his four wives, and their 18 children, as they go about their daily lives.

The 23-member family began filming in Utah, but later relocated to Nevada and Arizona.

The reason for Kody Brown and his wives’ appearance on the show was to raise public awareness about polygamist families.

Kody also believes that his arrangement is legal because he is legally married to only one woman (Robyn Brown), and his other three marriages (to Meri, Janelle, and Christine Brown) were all solemnized.

The show’s 16th season is set to be more rocky, as one of the wives mentions ‘everything crumbling.’

So, while you wait for the show to premiere on TLC, take a look at the family that’s at the center of it all.

Why did Kody Brown file a lawsuit against the state of Utah? He claimed he was unfairly singled out for polygamy.

‘Sister Wives’: Kody says Meri won’t be happy until everyone bows down to her. This causes tension in the family.

In 1994, Christine married Kody in a plural marriage.

He was already married to his first wife, Meri Brown, and his second wife, Janelle Brown, at the time. Robyn Brown joined the union in 2010.

Kody and Meri officially divorced four years later so that he could legally marry Robyn.

Christine announced her divorce from Kody, after 25 years of marriage, on Instagram earlier this month.

“After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart, and I have made the difficult decision to leave,” Christine wrote in her Facebook post.

“As we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family, we will continue to be a strong presence in each other’s lives,” she said.

We ask for your patience and kindness as we navigate this stage in our family’s life.”

Christine later added that she had seen this decision being made a long time ago, which appears to be the case.
