Sudocrem is generally used to calm irritated skin in babies and to cure diaper rash, but it is also used by millions of adults.
Sudocrem claims that the lotion cures and preserves your baby’s sensitive skin by containing an emollient that soothes sore or irritated skin while also acting as a moderate local anaesthetic to assist relieve pain and irritation.
It also features a water-repellent foundation that acts as a barrier, preventing irritants like urine and feces from coming into touch with the skin.
While Sudocrem isn’t especially for acne, it does recognize that it can aid with spots and pimples.
Sudocrem can be applied first thing in the morning and last thing at night to help soothe, moisturize, and minimize the redness of spot-prone skin, according to the website.

Sudocrem may be effective for some people, but there are better alternatives.
“I personally do not advocate Sudocrem for my acne patients since they require a tailored strategy with particular essential topicals to treat and assist maintain control of their sebaceous glands and skin barrier, from cleanser through night time actives,” Dr Chantrey stated.
“While Sudocrem has long been used as an antibacterial (it contains zinc and benzyl compounds), it is more suited to treating other skin conditions.”
