Is it time for you to get a flu shot? In the wake of the Covid outbreak, England is planning the world’s largest flu vaccine campaign.

FLU is an annual problem, and experts predict that this year’s flu season will be even worse, so should you be vaccinated?

Along with a Covid vaccine booster program, the government is planning to launch the country’s largest flu immunization campaign. It comes amid fears that the epidemic will exacerbate the flu season this year.

Flu, like Covid, is normally not a major illness in young people, but it can be a serious health worry for many elderly individuals and those with certain medical conditions.

Each year, seasonal flu kills around 7,000 people in the United Kingdom.

However, scientists are predicting a very bad flu season this year.

This is because, in the previous year, lockdowns and social distance limitations would have resulted in fewer Britons coming into touch with the flu virus.

This will almost certainly suggest that the population’s immunity has weakened, making more people susceptible to the flu.

As a result, when the limits are relaxed later this year, transmissions may increase.

Experts are advising those who are at risk to be vaccinated against the flu, warning that this year’s flu season may be more fatal than past years.

“Last winter, flu activity was exceptionally low, but this is no reason for complacency because it means fewer people have built up a defense against the virus,” said Dr. Yvonne Doyle, medical director at Public Health England.

“When you add in the possibility that Covid will still be spreading, the upcoming flu season becomes extremely unpredictable.”

Before any Covid vaccines were given out, Public Health England conducted studies during the initial wave of the infection.

According to this study, catching flu on top of Covid increases the chance of death by more than twice as much as catching Covid alone.

This year’s flu vaccine campaign will begin in September.

Children will be included in this plan, unlike in previous years, to ensure that they do not become super spreaders and that their learning is not disrupted.

From September, the following British citizens should be eligible for a free flu vaccine:

Those children who will be two or three years old on August 31, 2021.

This year, experts hope to provide a record-breaking flu vaccine rollout, vaccination more than 35 million individuals.

Sajid Javid, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, stated, “We want to create a wall of.”
