“Preheat the oven to roughly 200°C, Fan 170°C, Gas Mark 6,” advises BirdsEye.

“Place the salmon in a baking dish or skillet and season with whichever spices you choose.

“Even something as simple as a squeeze of lemon, a little of salt, and a pinch of pepper will suffice.

“Place the dish or skillet in the oven, covered with foil.

“Bake the fish for around five minutes per ounce. If you have a 6-ounce salmon fillet, for example, bake it for around half an hour.

“Check the flakiness of the salmon fillet with a fork to see if it’s done.

“Remove it from the pan or dish and set it aside to rest!”

If you’re cooking salmon from frozen, wipe the ice glaze off the fish before cooking, according to Martha Stewart’s website.
