In a double-blind trial, neither the patient nor the doctor knows whether they are receiving the experimental treatment, a standard treatment, or a placebo.

Men and women who were healthy but overweight were randomly assigned to high-CGA or control coffee groups.

For 12 weeks, instant coffee was drunk once a day.

The visceral fat area was measured at the start, four, eight, and twelve weeks, and 142 people finished the study.

When comparing the CGA group to the control group, the researchers discovered that visceral fat area, total abdominal fat area, body weight, and waist circumference all fell significantly.

Furthermore, the CGA group had considerably higher changes in visceral fat from baseline (the start of the trial) through 12 weeks than the control group.

There were no serious side effects.

The researchers wrote, “Consumption of high-CGA coffee by overweight persons for 12 weeks may diminish VFA [visceral fat area].”

You should commit to a belly-busting diet to maximize the benefits of consuming coffee.

According to Bupa, “if you want to lose abdominal fat, you should expend more calories (energy) than you consume and eat the correct kinds of food.”
