There’s nothing like a good night’s sleep, but one in every two Britons isn’t getting enough of it. If you’re having trouble sleeping, consider these eight suggestions for getting a good night’s sleep.

According to YouGov data, only 53% of women and 56% of men are obtaining the necessary seven to nine hours of sleep per night.

Another alarming finding from YouGov’s research is that 10% of men and 13% of women say they only get five hours of sleep each night.

Sleep deprivation not only makes you tired and irritated the next day, but it also has a negative impact on your general health and well-being.

Eden’s Gate has compiled a list of eight suggestions that you must follow in order to have a decent night’s sleep.

Before you’re truly curled up beneath the blankets, you should start your night routine.

Make a wind-down regimen at least 30 minutes before you want to retire for the night.

You may relax by listening to soothing music or an audiobook, taking a warm bath, or reading.

You’ll need to reduce your caffeine intake if you want to obtain a good night’s sleep.

You may be taking too much coffee during the day if you find yourself lying awake and unable to fall asleep.

Caffeine should be avoided three hours before bedtime.

Sleep is harmed by screen time. These devices are designed to keep you awake and aware, not merely in case you receive a stressful email or get lost in a ‘scroll-hole.’
