GAZ OAKLEY is a South Wales-based vegan chef and influencer. Gaz has teamed up with Merchant Gourmet to encourage more Britons to prepare plant-based meals with the purpose of improving people’s eating habits for the better.

Eating more vegan and vegetarian foods is not only beneficial for the environment, but it is also a good way to increase your intake of fruits, vegetables, and high-quality protein. All of these foods and nutrients are both tasty and nutritious.

Merchant Gourmet is a vegan and vegetarian-friendly firm that sells plant-based items like lentils and wholegrains, making it easy for Britons to maintain a vegan or vegetarian diet.

Gaz has teamed up with the company to urge more people to switch from a meat-based to a plant-based diet.

He spoke exclusively to This Website about items that you can easily incorporate into your diet to make it more fascinating and healthy.

The chef also shared some of his favorite recipes and foods that not only taste delicious but also make you feel good.

Gaz claimed that after witnessing a video of cows on a dairy farm, he went vegan “overnight.”

He explained, “I stumbled found a video on YouTube that made me go vegan overnight.”

“That’s how it happened to me, but there are others, such as my parents. It took a little longer, but they eventually chopped everything out.

“At first, it was to replace the milk, and they decided to see which milk they preferred. Then they became vegan for a few of days a week, and before they knew it, they were vegan.”

“So just take your time with it and experiment in the kitchen,” Gaz continued.

“And simply take pleasure in it because you will.

“Being a chef was a lot of fun for me, and in the first few weeks of being vegan, I was able to make a lot of fascinating new dishes with things I had never cooked with before.”

As a newbie vegan, the chef suggested purchasing essential items to begin experimenting with.

“The staple ingredients are a lot of beans and pulses,” he explained.

“That’s where I obtain the majority of my protein, whether it’s in the form of convenient pouches from Merchant Gourmet or canned meat [from the supermarket].”
