Greggs has appointed Roisin Currie as its new CEO.
Roisin Currie, the retailer’s retail and property director, has been promoted to chief executive for the first time in the company’s 83-year history.
Currie, who will succeed Roger Whiteside as chief executive when he steps down at the company’s annual meeting in May, will be the company’s fourth.
She currently oversees Greggs’ stores as well as the company’s delivery business with Just Eat.
Currie joined the company in 2010 after working at Asda.

“Roisin has played a critical role in Greggs’ success as it has evolved as a multi-channel food-on-the-go business,” said Ian Durant, chairman of Greggs.
Over the course of the year, Greggs’ total sales increased from £811 million to £1.23 billion.
