Regal, the world’s largest movie theater chain, announced an official partnership with Flexa to provide an easy way to pay for movie tickets and other related items.

Through the Flexa app, the US-based theater operator will now provide customers with access to cryptocurrency payments in a secure and reliable manner.

Regal Accepts Which Digital Currencies?

According to Cryptoninjas, the Regal-Flexa partnership will include the following cryptocurrencies in the new payment system.

Basic Attention Token (BAT), LINK, ATOM, and other digital tokens are just a few examples.

Gemini Dollar (GUSD), Dai (DAI), and USD Coin (USDC) are examples of digital dollars and stable coins.

Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Dogecoin (DOGE), and Litecoin (LTC) are all popular cryptocurrencies.

Using Bitcoin to Pay for Movie Tickets and Concessions

Flexa is also looking for the best way to assist Regal in bringing flexible payment options for the asset purchase.

Regal hopes to incorporate various protocols, such as the Lightning Network, into its strategy.

Customers who plan to pay at Regal using the Flexa app may also be able to earn special rewards by linking their Regal Crown Club loyalty account.

According to ZDNet, the partnership will give users a seamless payment option using digital currencies like bitcoin, stablecoins, and dogecoin, according to Regal’s Chief Marketing Officer Ken Thewes.

As the theater chain enters a new era, Thewes added that this action would provide a secure and flexible method of paying for services.

Flexa co-founder Trevor Filter, on the other hand, stated that the company is honored to collaborate with Regal on the introduction of innovative payment options for guests.

“We’re excited to work with Regal to enable universal digital currency payment options for movies and more, and to help bring the future of payments to the cinema,” said Filter.

Regal, a Cineworld Group subsidiary, currently operates 6,885 outlets in 514 theaters across 42 states in the United States.

Meanwhile, Flexa, the world’s most fraud-proof payment network, which was founded in 2018, continues to assist more businesses and developers in allowing the safe and affordable adoption of digital currencies on their platforms.

According to Tech Times, the entertainment conglomerate AMC has plans to accept digital currencies as payment in place of cash.
