MENZIES Distribution announced the acquisition of Bibby Distribution, the national logistics and supply chain services business, from the 213-year-old Bibby Line Group, a family-owned company.
According to the group, the agreement establishes a big force in the U.K. Logistics, unlocking geographic capacity and adding Menzies’ “well-established and successful platform.” to 38 new operating sites and a big, young fleet.
Since 1985, Bibby Distribution has developed an end-to-end supply chain network that offers its customers solutions in a number of industries, including paper and packaging and consumer goods.

In a variety of resilient markets, consumers include a mix of grocery retailers and blue chip businesses.
Close to 5,000 staff, 4,000 vehicles and 100 depot locations would be the scale of the merged company.
