In four years, a 34-year-old man took his business from “quite low revenues” to £2.5 million.
JACK SYMONS conquered his gambling addiction and is now using Gamban technology to help others do the same. Gamban technology bans all gaming platforms.
Jack Symons invented Gamban in 2015 after dealing with a gambling addiction. Gamban is a digital product that disables gambling services on all of one’s devices. He has turned his company into a success story, employing tens of thousands of people and generating millions of pounds in revenue.
Mr. Symons related the narrative of how his own gambling addiction sparked the creation of Gamban.
“It was difficult for me to commit to not gambling,” he added. It’s so easy to bet when you have your phone or computer with you all the time.
“I tried a variety of obstacles and discovered that none of them were actually tailored for what I required.
Mr Symons explained, “So I developed a very simple application on my computer that banned me from accessing gambling sites, and just having it felt like I was emancipated.”
He believes that being a part of a project that he cares about has contributed to the company’s success.
“I’ve always been interested in technology, and the opportunity to combine a tech product with an issue that I’ve personally experienced felt like a logical fit,” Mr Symons said.
“I believe that is one of the reasons for its success. It’s been incredibly cathartic to turn that into a product that benefits thousands of people.”
Gamban now collaborates with gaming businesses, banks, and regulators to help people who are addicted to gambling get off the platforms.
Mr Symons stated, “It’s become evident over time that protecting people is the most sustainable and safe thing for the sector.”
The software disables a large number of gambling websites from all of a user’s devices, allowing them to regain control. Mr. Symons listed some of the platforms that the app prevents users from accessing.
“We prohibit gambling, poker, bingo, lotteries, casinos, slots, and similar products, as well as cryptocurrency and day trading platforms.”
He went on to say, “We built it to be exceedingly tough to remove.”
Gamban’s expansion has been astounding, since the company has established a solid basis and is currently generating substantial profits.
Gamban currently has roughly 80,000 users, according to Mr Symons, and “our year-over-year increase is about 100 percent.”
“We’ve come a long way from our humble beginnings.” Brinkwire Summary News
