As government financial assistance for the pandemic comes to an end, four out of ten adults feel “uncertain” about the future. A survey of 2,000 Britons found that nearly a quarter of them had struggled to meet their outgoings, such as food (43%), internet (37%), and mobile phones (37%). (30 percent).

Tesco Mobile and Crisis commissioned the study to emphasize the importance of digital connectivity in assisting persons who are homeless or at danger of becoming homeless.
“For many of us, being out of lockdown signifies a crisis finally easing,” said Tom Denyard, CEO of Tesco Mobile.

According to the poll, 82 percent of people believe that having access to the internet or a mobile phone is necessary for daily living.
Two-thirds rely on the internet on a daily basis, while another 48% would be lost without their smartphone.
A third stated they would feel isolated if they didn’t have access to the internet.
People use the internet for a variety of purposes, including shopping, watching TV and movies, and just doing their jobs, as well as planning vacations and seeking advice.
The study also discovered that 36 percent of people arrange doctor’s appointments online, while 61 percent call the surgery, demonstrating how many vital chores now require internet access.
People increasingly use QR codes to get on public transportation (17%), order food and drink (30%), and pay for products thanks to the proliferation of QR codes (22 percent).
