The weather in Scotland: For large parts of the region, SEPA issues flood warnings


For several parts of Scotland, a flood alert has been issued as more rain is expected for large parts of the region.

The advisory for Ayrshire and Arran, Dumfries and Galloway, the Scottish Borders and West Central Scotland was provided by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency.

A spokeswoman said, “There is a risk of flooding from surface water and small watercourses, especially in the west of the area, from late Monday afternoon and into Tuesday.”

Established trouble areas on the road network and even individual assets are most at risk.

Scotland weather: look out for the weekend forecast as Glasgow, Ayrshire, Fife and the Highlands have received a weather advisory.
