You missed the ‘ritual’ between AJ and Kai that demonstrates why they won’t win.

Strictly Come Dancing, the nation’s favorite, returns to our screens tonight.

Following last week’s episode, body language expert Judi James shared her thoughts on the couples.

Anyone who has watched Strictly since its inception in 2004 knows that the show has successfully translated on-screen chemistry into off-screen romance.

This year’s couples may be more than just dance partners, according to Judi.

Indeed, “The Curse of Strictly” has been known to cause marital strife.

Since the show’s debut in 2004, “The Curse of Strictly” is said to have ruined twelve relationships.

Kai and AJ, one of this year’s couples, seem to be falling in love with each passing week.

Fortunately for them, they are both single, which allows their budding relationship to flourish.

“Because they were single, there were no bitter partners in the background muttering about ‘The Curse of Strictly,'” Judi explained.

“Gorgeous AJ appeared more than happy to drop huge nonverbal hints that seemed to endorse all that ‘are they dating’ speculation,” she continued.

They shared a warm embrace and huge grins after their performance.

Judi also addressed their “near-kiss,” which sparked a “fan frenzy” among fans.

Kai wrapped his arm around AJ’s waist, and she returned the gesture.

“There were hints during their VTs and balcony interviews that this could just be the real thing developing,” Judi said.

They were at the top of the leaderboard in Week Seven, but now they’re at the bottom.

Maybe there’s a problem in paradise?

“The VT at AJ’s mother’s house showed the couple not only sitting apart on separate chairs but their body language made that gap look even more pronounced,” Judi speculated.

“Neither leaned in, there was no touch, and AJ kept her arms folded in a barrier ritual, glancing at him over her shoulder,” she continued.

But who will win if AJ and Kai don’t?

According to Judi, Tilly and Nikita are not among them.

“His chin raises and his lower jaw juts in a micro-gesture of displeasure, and despite the fact that he still places a supportive-looking arm around Tilly, their signals of natural, semi-flirty fun appear to have vanished,” she said.

Last week, Giovanni and Rose were ranked second out of eight on the leaderboard.

“This relationship has grown over the weeks, and Gio now looks at Rose with utter respect and a parental-looking gaze,” Judi explained.
