Witnesses claim that Elvis Presley ‘stopped’ the rain just hours before he died.

According to Memphis Mafia witnesses who were among the last persons to see Elvis Presley alive, he “stopped” the rain with a wave of his hand just hours before his death on August 16, 1977.

Elvis Presley died on August 16, 1977, in the early hours of the morning, after returning to Graceland from the dentist around midnight. Around 4 a.m., the King summoned his cousin Billy Smith and his wife Jo for a game of racquetball with Ginger Alden. The Memphis Mafia’s times were not unusual because Elvis slept all day and was awake all night.

It’s long been speculated that Elvis stopped the rain with a wave of his hand in his closing hours.

Billy and Jo have now revealed the facts of the matter in a new interview on the Memphis Mafia Kid YouTube channel.

“It was a coincidence, but it did happen,” Jo explained. That is a true account. It was raining and we were walking beneath the shelter that led down from Graceland.

“We were strolling around and someone said, ‘Oh no, it’s started to rain.’”

“It was a light rain, and [Elvis] remarked, ‘Well, watch this!’” Jo said. It stopped pouring because he just [waved his hand]. But we all knew it was a coincidence, and even he knew it!

“He didn’t compare himself to anything like that, and we all laughed about it, and a few hairs on the backs of our necks stood up, and we ran off.”

Elvis would give his final performance to the other three at the racquetball court, singing and playing Unchained Melody and Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain.

Elvis briefly saw his daughter Lisa Marie when he returned to the Graceland residence about 6 a.m. and kissed her good night.

Billy then assisted the King in drying his hair in the washroom where the icon would die just hours later.

Elvis, Billy, and other Memphis Mafia members were scheduled to fly to Portland, Maine later that evening for a show.

Billy is speaking in another video. “Brinkwire News in Condensed Form.”
