With the new update, Nintendo has addressed the majority of ‘Animal Crossing’ players’ requests.
Despite Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ grip on Nintendo Switch owners throughout the most of the COVID-19 lockdown, many have abandoned their islands, believing they’ve exhausted most of the game’s choices. However, there is a ton of new material in what Nintendo is calling the game’s final major free update. This November 2021 update delivers not just Brewster and the ability to make food, but also a slew of other long-awaited additions to the island.
One of the most common criticisms leveled at New Horizons after its debut was the absence of long-time favorite characters. Many of the previously recurring characters were missed by those who had played many of the prior editions, but because to popular demand, many of them are now joining the New Horizons family! Along with Brewster’s reopening of his cafe, Kapp’n will be visiting the island! You’ll be able to find the sea shanty-singing frog pal off your dock, who will take you to a mystery island for 1,000 NookMiles. Seasons, times of day, and even unusual materials will be available on these new islands for you to scavenge while you’re there! On Harv’s island, Harriet, Tortimer, Katrina, Cyrus, and Reese will all become regulars. Harv and Harriet devise a plan to open a plaza, allowing new businesses to open year-round on his island. You’ll need to donate bells to get the project started, but once it’s up and running, you’ll be able to view Kicks, Saharah, Leif, and others whenever you want. Harriet will show you how to do new haircuts, Katrina will tell you your fortune, and Cyrus and Reese will allow you to modify stuff that you can’t do at home.
The gyroids are another beloved item that has been gone from the islands. These figures were previously collectibles that gamers could find all over the island. You can now dig out gyroid pieces, which can then be planted and watered to create a collection for yourself, thanks to this update. These gyroids can also be tailored to match the decor of the rooms in which they are placed.
New furniture items (both in Nook’s Cranny and for purchase with NookMiles) will be available in the new update, as well as new KK Slider music, new fence designs, and the possibility to adjust your home’s façade to better match your island’s design. Ceiling and lighting choices will be available… Brinkwire in a nutshell.
