With Tay Conti’s victory, the AEW Rampage Buy-In begins.

Tay Conti and Santanna Garrett opened tonight’s special AEW Rampage Buy In with a bout, and both stars were looking to add to their win totals or gain their first win, so they didn’t waste any time once the bell rang. Conti and Garrett swapped evasions at first, missing each other and demonstrating that they had each other thoroughly scouted, and a subsequent hold resulted in a standoff. Conti grabbed a lock on Garrett’s calf as they continued to counter each other. Garrett snatched Conti’s head and followed up with a knee to the mid-section to break the hold. Conti climbed to the top and pounced over Garrett, flipping him over and delivering a kick to the face and a pin, but Garrett kicked out.

Garrett then gained traction and caught Conti off off. Garrett began to work on Conti with a series of grips, hoping to force a surrender by applying pressure on Conti’s back and neck.

Garrett continued to mount the offense, but Conti fought back, and they both slammed each other to the mat and tried to get back up.

Conti was the first to get to her feet and attempted the Pump Kick, but Garrett ducked it and countered with a kick of her own, followed by a sophisticated move that backfired as Conti kicked her in the back. Conti got the kick this time, then repeated the process two more times. Garrett was feeling it, and Conti hit a DDT to end the match, giving her a fourth win in a row.
