With a snapshot of a three-tier choice, a woman asks how much people pay for wedding cakes, but that isn’t what has people talking.
The sight of this wedding cake, which is supposed to seem like a priceless geode but rather looks like something else, has stunned the public.
The cake has gleaming pink and scarlet sugar crystals that give it the appearance of a lovely rock, but everyone who sees it thinks the same thing.
The photo was shared to the Facebook group That’s It, I’m Wedding Shaming, which is dedicated to whining about all things wedding-related.
The image is a screenshot from another post in which a woman inquires about the cost of wedding cakes from other brides.
Commenters were giggling because they couldn’t believe how much the cake resembled a vaginal opening.
“Is it just me, or does this appear like a woman’s privates?” wrote the individual who uploaded the photo. “I’m trying to keep it PG,” says the narrator, “but why would anyone want this at their wedding?” People flocked to the comments section to express their agreement that the cake appeared to be quite clear.
One user joked, “NO SHAMING THE VAGEODE,” while another added, “I feel like I’ve seen this concept brilliantly done before, but yeah this one seems like it was made by Georgia O’Keefe.”
“I work in a rock and mineral museum, and I would still veto this cake,” one rock fan remarked. Geodes are incredible, and I’ve seen far better cake renditions. Isn’t this small number right here it?” Many people claimed that the likeness wouldn’t be as startling if the geode design wasn’t pink.
“How terrible that this color was chosen!” “No one would have questioned it if they had done blue or even yellow,” one stated, while another wrote, “I would have selected a different color, like white or blue.” “Pink is just a smidgeon too close.” “I’m getting ‘used sanitary towel’ feelings more than anything else,” one sarcastic user commented, “which is precisely what anyone would anticipate from a cake.” “The better question is who DOESN’T want an exorbitant coochie cake for their wedding,” another said.
