William Shatner, the legendary Star Trek actor, has expressed interest in appearing in the third installment of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise (EXCLUSIVE)

During an exclusive interview with This website, STAR TREK James T Kirk actor William Shatner claimed he’d be interested in a role in James Gunn’s Marvel sequel Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.

James Gunn is preparing to direct Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 after being dismissed and rehired. Before its own release in May 2023, the Marvel sequel will shoot back-to-back with the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special in 2022. Perhaps Gunn has some ideas for future appearances after bringing in action hero Sylvester Stallone in the previous film?

Mark Hamill, the star of Star Wars, has been linked to a role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 in recent years.

Despite widespread speculation, Gunn has previously stated that no negotiations have taken place with the Luke Skywalker actor.

This website recently asked William Shatner, Star Trek’s very own, if he’d be up for a role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 during an exclusive interview.

“Yeah!” said the sprightly 90-year-old. I’ve guarded the galaxy on several occasions.”

It would be a terrific treat for sci-fi enthusiasts if the original Star Trek classic made an appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.

Imagine if Shatner and his Star Wars co-star Mark Hamill could share a scene. James Gunn, make it so!

During our discussion, the James T Kirk actor also expressed interest in returning to Star Trek in a future film.

“I would be glad to be a part of Star Trek if it was something worthy,” the 90-year-old remarked while promoting his latest film Senior Moment.

“If they could come up with a means to place a character I played in a movie that functioned as a point in the movie [and]made the movie move ahead, I’d be delighted,” Shatner concluded.

When asked about the possibility of Quentin Tarantino directing a Star Trek film, he remarked, “I think it’s fantastic.” Tarantino and I have met several times. His films have a lot of juice in them.

“It’s a new take on these superhero movies. I mean, he’d have blood dripping off your nose!”

When asked if he would be interested in appearing in such a film, the 90-year-old said, “Certainly, absolutely.” He’s fantastic.”

Meanwhile, in their new film Senior Moment, Shatner hooks up with fellow sci-fi great Christopher Lloyd.
