‘William is furious with the BBC,’ says Camilla Tominey of the royal documentary.

‘William is furious with the BBC,’ Camilla Tominey says.

CAMILLA TOMINEY, speaking about the recent controversial documentary The Princes and the Press, revealed Prince William is “angry” with the BBC.

The Princes and the Press, a BBC documentary, premiered on Monday evening after three royal households banded together to criticize the broadcaster.

The royal residences of Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace, and Clarence House issued a joint statement condemning the broadcaster for the documentary’s “overblown and unfounded claims.”

During a discussion with Phillip Schofield, Holly Willoughby, and Nick Ferrari on Wednesday’s This Morning, royal editor Camilla Tominey discussed Prince William’s particular grievance with the BBC.

“Let’s start with the royals’ outrage over a new documentary,” Phillip began. “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge reportedly banned the BBC from airing their Christmas carol concert in the wake of the controversial new documentary Princes and the Press.”

Camilla replied, “It’s not just about that documentary.”

“It’s a storm in a teacup.”

“I’m in it, and I talk about how I got the scoop on Harry and Meghan’s romance back in 2016.”

“And there’s some talk about how the palace and the press work together, and as you guys and Nick know, there’s a tug of war going on all the time.”

“They don’t want negative stories in the papers; we want to run whatever we want if we have it stood up.”

She went on to say, “There was a suggestion that elements within the palace were briefing against Harry and Meghan.”

“Intriguingly, I spoke with Amal Rajan, the documentary’s media editor, back in November 2020.

“That was four months before it was revealed that the Sussexes had been accused of bullying, and it was also four months before they did their Oprah Winfrey interview in March 2021.”

“I don’t know what the second episode will be about; I didn’t comment on that.” “I know it’s been edited to the wire, especially in light of Meghan’s apology to the court for misleading the court about her collaboration with the Finding Freedom biography,” she says.

“Do you think what’s come out since it aired will have an impact on the edit? Do you think there will be a pullback?” Holly inquired.

“The palace fury line that has been kind of perpetuated by the press for the last few days seems to me to be a bit overblown,” Camilla responded.

There isn’t any.
