Will there be a Netflix spin-off of On My Block?

ON MY BLOCK has returned to Netflix for its last season, but will there be a spin-off?

On My Block is a famous coming-of-age comedy-drama about a group of friends from Freeridge, a tough Los Angeles neighborhood, who embark on perilous excursions while juggling their academic lives. Despite the fact that it was a big success for Netflix, the fourth season will be the last. Nonetheless, one of the show’s creators claims that the tale isn’t nearly finished yet.

On My Block premiered its fourth and last season on Netflix on Monday, October 4th.

While fans will be disappointed to learn that Monse (Sierra Capri), Ruby (Jason Genao), Jamal (Brett Gray), Cesar (Diego Tinoco), and Jasmine (Jessica Marie Garcia) will be seen for the last time, there will be more to come.

“We won’t be leaving this fantastic universe just yet,” Netflix said on Twitter ahead of the show’s premiere.

“I’m ecstatic to say that the stories will continue in Freeridge, a spin-off of On My Block!”

As Alastair Campbell takes over for Richard Madeley on GMB, viewers’switch off.’

There has been no mention of what Freeridge will be about so far.

However, it will take a break from the gang we’ve grown to know and love in favor of brand new characters.

Given the title of the spin-off, it’s safe to assume that the show will continue to be set in Freeridge.

Lauren Iungerich, Eddie Gonzalez, and Jeremy Haft, who co-created On My Block, will return for the new series.

The last season of On My Block arrives in one week, and while we’ll be saying our goodbyes to Monse, Ruby, Jamal, Cesar, and Jasmine, we won’t be leaving this amazing universe just yet.

I’m overjoyed to inform that the stories will continue in Freeridge, a spinoff of On My Block!

Co-producer Jamie Uyeshiro and co-executive producer Jamie Dooner will join them for Freeridge.

“Co-creating and running On My Block was and will always be a joy of my life,” Iungerich said in a statement.

“There are so many more stories to share about our beloved Freeridge, and I can’t wait to keep working with this incredible team.”

“We are eager to bring a completely new cast of characters and stories to life in this On My Block,” Netflix’s head of comedy Tracey Pakosta added.
