Will Serena Joy’s baby die in The Handmaid’s Tale?

The gruesome demise of one of the series’ major antagonists in season four of THE HANDMAID’S TALE stunned many. Will Serena’s baby, on the other hand, be the next victim?

Season four of The Handmaid’s Tale was unlike any other, proving to be the most horrific and frightening season ever. With that in mind, many fans are speculating on how season five may exceed it, leading to a new idea that, if accurate, would bring the Hulu series to one of its lowest points yet. Serena Waterford (Yvonne Strahovski) is at the center of the theory, given that her position in the world is uncertain after the fourth season.

Following the events of season four, June Osborne (Elisabeth Moss) finds herself at a fork in the road.

June has two options after knocking down Fred Waterford (Joseph Fiennes) with the help of a squad of handmaidens.

Either she will accept her new life of freedom in Canada and attempt to forget about the horrors of Gilead, or she will seek revenge on the country that mistreated her.

Given the series’ past record, the latter appears to be more likely, especially as the stakes continue to grow.

June has a lot of evidence pointing to her desire for greater vengeance after her years in Gilead.

In fact, fans feel that a key line of dialogue in season five or beyond foreshadows a very terrible future.

Yalin Chang, the series’ Executive Producer, recently spoke with Deadline on where June could go.

Looking at June’s previous acts and remarks, it appears that vengeance is at the forefront of her thoughts.

June’s love triangle with Luke (O-T Fagbenle) and Nick is one of her main sources of strife (Max Minghella).

June’s acceptance of her new life is symbolized by Luke, and her stay in Gilead is symbolized by Nick.

“That Gilead side of her is this extremely dark, violent aspect of her that propels her and her need for vengeance,” Chang stated.

“It’s her anger and self-loathing that drives her to scream in Serena’s face that she wishes the kid in her belly will die.

“And it’s a really true aspect of her that she doesn’t know what to do with it in Canada,” says the author.

“That will be her major conflict in the future. She’s caught in the middle of a love triangle with.”Brinkwire Summary News.”
