Who’s in the cast of A Discovery of Witches season 3 episode 1?
The third season of A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES is sadly the final installment of the fantasy saga, but who is in the cast of the first episode?
A Discovery of Witches is set to return for its third and final season on Sky Max and NOW. The show has been a popular adaptation of author Deborah Harkness’s All Souls Trilogy, with season three bringing the third book to the small screen.
As Diana Bishop, Teresa Palmer reprises her role.
She finally learned how to control her powers at the end of season two, putting her in a very different position at the start of season three.
She was last seen getting ready to return to the present, but there will undoubtedly be complications on the way.
Palmer has also appeared in Warm Bodies, Lights Out, and Hacksaw Ridge, in addition to A Discovery of Witches.
In the iconic role of Matthew Clairmont, Matthew Goode returns to co-direct the series.
He has been helping to protect Diana as she has slowly but steadily discovered her powers throughout the show, but she will no longer require his protection in season three.
Of course, Matthew was right there with Diana as they prepared to return to the present day.
Stoker, The Imitation Game, and Watchmen are some of Goode’s other works.
Steven Cree will reprise his role as Gallowglass, Matthew’s nephew, in the series.
It’ll be interesting to see how Gallowglass fares in the third season, but there’s no doubt he’ll get into a fight or two.
He was last seen when Matthew told him he was going back to the present.
Cree is best known for his roles in Cobra, Depp Water, and Outlander (as Ian Murray).
Lindsay Duncan is reprising her role as Ysabeau de Clermont, Matthew’s vampire mother.
She is one of the world’s oldest vampires, at around 1,500 years old, and her wisdom matches her age.
She has always been fiercely protective of her family, but she and Matthew have had a falling out over Diana’s safety.
Duncan’s films include Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), About Time, and Gifted, in addition to A Discovery of Witches.
Marcus Whitmore reprises his role as Ed Bluemel, the 17th-century vampire healer who first met Matthew.
I’m still at it.
