When was Macaulay Culkin’s first appearance on Saturday Night Live?

When was Macaulay Culkin the host of Saturday Night Live?

Kieran Culkin, brother of HOME ALONE star Macaulay Culkin, made his Saturday Night Live debut on November 6, 2021.

A sweet moment from a Saturday Night Live episode from 1991 was shared by Macaulay’s other famous brother.

On November 23, 1991, Macaulay was the show’s host.

Kieran, his brother, appeared in three skits.

Before the premiere of his starring role in My Girl, he hosted SNL.

Macaulay’s father, actor and stage manager Kit Culkin, requested that he perform the show without using cue cards.

Kit believed that his son’s performance was influenced by cue cards.

For that episode, Macaulay and the cast memorized their lines.

This was the first and only time the cast of a sketch comedy show was asked to do something like this.

Macaulay’s brother Kieran’s dream of hosting an episode of Saturday Night Live came true on November 6, 2002.

He paid tribute to his appearance 30 years ago when he was 9 years old with his brother.

He showed a video of Macaulay being lifted onto the shoulders of a cast member, arms raised like a champion.

Kieran joked that he then asked Kevin Nealon, who was then a cast member, to help him up like his brother.

He mocks his expressions as he is lifted up.

“We’ve got a great show for you tonight!” he said after waiting 30 years to return to SNL’s stage.

Ed Sheeran, a musical guest, performed alongside him.

The 47th season of Saturday Night Live premiered on October 2nd.

On Saturday nights at 11:30 p.m. EST on NBC, fans can watch it live.

It can be watched on Hulu and Peacock.
