Mike Tindall admits that leaving Zara during her pregnancy ‘didn’t go down well.’

When ZARA TINDALL’s husband Mike “got bored” and left during the birth of one of their children, she was furious.

Vernon Kay returned to front an ITV special of Loose Men for International Men’s Day on Friday.

Mike Tindall, Iain Stirling, and Ore Oduba were among the guest panelists who discussed a variety of topics with Vernon.

The panel began the show by debating whether it is acceptable for a man to have a stag do when his partner has a baby.

However, things took an unexpected turn when Mike, who is married to Zara Tindall, Princess Anne’s daughter, recalled an incident that enraged his wife during a family milestone.

The admission came up during the panel’s discussion of Game of Thrones star Kit Harrington, who recently said that when parents have a baby, they should have a party to say goodbye to their “old life.”

“It appears that more dads are having baby stag dos,” Vernon said.

“I’ve even spent tens of thousands of pounds on weekend trips with the lads.”

“Your youngest is just five weeks old,” said the former I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! campmate to Ore.

“Do you regret not having had a baby stag do?”

“No!” he exclaimed emphatically.

“You shouldn’t, and you shouldn’t, and you shouldn’t, and you shouldn’t, and you shouldn’t

If I had told Portia weeks before she was due to give birth, ‘I just need one last blow-out before my new life begins with you and the baby,’ she would have laughed.

“Those locks would have been changed in an instant.”

I would not have been permitted to return to the house.”

The former Strictly Come Dancing star went on to say that he understands Kit’s motivation for coming up with the idea.

The baby stag do, according to Vernon, could be a modern-day version of wetting the baby’s head.

“Didn’t the men go to the pub when the women were giving birth?” Iain joked.

“I don’t know who would do that,” Vernon sarcastically added.

The host went on to say that when his wife Tess Daly was in labor, he was thrown out of the room.

Mike admitted, “When Zara had the first one, I got hungry and went to Nandos.”

“Well, that didn’t go over too well.

“Can you imagine me saying, ‘By the way, I’m off to St Tropez.’

“News from the Brinkwire.”
