When I was 19, I and my boyfriend bought a house because renting was too expensive for us – we were teen parents, but we did it on our own.

A YOUNG mother has disclosed that she and her partner bought their home when they were just 19 because rent was too pricey.

Annais Bolton, a TikTok user, posted a video in response to people asking how she did it at such a young age.

Annais, who goes by the handle @annaisbolton, verified in her video that she was 19 and her partner was 20 when they received their first pad.

While her boyfriend worked as a roofer, the adolescent worked as a barista from the age of 16 and “saved diligently.”

She stated that she was able to obtain a mortgage “because she had a job,” but she did not specify how much their combined wage was.

People who claimed that their parents assisted her were met with a retort that said, “I hope.”

Annais claimed she was driven to get a mortgage because renting was “extremely expensive,” and she chose to buy when she was young so she “wouldn’t have a mortgage when she’s older.”

She also gave a tour of her chic home, which she described as her “best achievement.”

The pad features a stylish grey kitchen, wood flooring throughout, and a glitzy bedroom.

The mother did not specify how much of a deposit was required for her home, but there are 5 percent deposit mortgages available for first-time buyers.

We recently reported on the government’s loan guarantee program, which allows would-be homebuyers with a minimal deposit to apply for a 95 percent loan.

Many people were astonished by her ability to find a home at such a young age, with one commenting, “Respect to you both.”

“It’s beyond me why anyone would rent when they can have a mortgage,” said another.

“It’s ok, everyone does life in different stages,” Annais responded to comments.

She recommended that people register an ISA account, see a financial expert if possible, and stick to a strict budget.

We told you how a couple gave up their dream of traveling and sold old furniture on Facebook to buy a £243,000 three-bed first house.

And despite failing school, a woman bought a house at the age of 21 after working since she was 13.

‘I bought a house at 23 with NO mortgage — most influencers waste their money on luxury goods, but I saved $10k a month,’ said another lady.
