Johnson, a Los Angeles native, was just starting her career as an R&B singer and dancer when she died on December 27, 1998.
Johnson had released a number of songs over the years before to the release of her debut album, The Color Red, in 2020.
In 2018, she recorded a few songs with rapper Trippie Redd for his album A Love Letter to You 3.
