What is the significance of Claude Littner’s replacement on The Apprentice?

THE APPRENTICE is back after a two-year hiatus, but why is Claude Littner no longer on the show?

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, The Apprentice has been off the air for longer than usual.

However, the wait is almost over, as Lord Alan Sugar is returning to put 16 more candidates to the test in the hopes of finding another worthy entrepreneur to invest in.

There is one significant difference, however: one of his trusted aides will no longer be present.

Since 2015, Claude Littner has been one of Lord Sugar’s supporters, taking over for Nick Hewer, who went on to host Channel 4’s Countdown.

He joined Lord Sugar’s company Amstrad Spain, Amstrad International, and Dancall Telecom in the early 1990s and became chairman of several of his companies.

Claude was the Chief Executive of Tottenham Hotspur for five years when Lord Sugar was chairman, in addition to working at various other companies owned by the iconic businessman.

As a result, it’s safe to say that Claude has played a key role in a number of Lord Sugar’s businesses over the years.

As a result, Claude was welcomed aboard The Apprentice, where he has served as a valuable advisor for the past seven years.

He collaborated with Baroness Karren Brady, and the three of them had no trouble convincing candidates that their future careers were in jeopardy.

Season 15, which aired in 2019, was the final season in which Claude appeared on Lord Sugar’s left side.

Claude suffered an injury prior to filming The Apprentice last year, so this is the reason for his absence.

In April 2021, while riding his electric bike, the 72-year-old was involved in a cycling accident.

According to reports, Claude’s right leg was severely injured to the point where doctors considered amputating it, but this did not occur.

“On this kind of two-track road, I must have been doing no more than 10 kilometers per hour,” Claude said.

“The next thing I knew, I was on the wrong side of the road with my bike in the middle of the road, and I had no idea what had happened.”
