What are the travel rules in Spain, Portugal, France, and Greece now that the traffic lights have been updated?

SPAIN, FRENCH FRANCE, PORTUGAL, and GREECE are among of Europe’s most popular vacation spots. However, due to the UK Government’s ever-changing traffic light travel laws, Britons must be prepared before departing. What have been the most recent changes to the rules since the last travel update?

In the post-coronavirus era, travel to Spain, France, Portugal, and Greece is a little different, with countries around the world implementing their own laws and limits for overseas visitors. The UK Government’s latest traffic light travel rules went into effect on Monday.

The restrictions for flying to each country differ, and it is critical that British tourists are aware of the most up-to-date information before departing.

Since the August 30 update, these are the most recent travel rules for Spain, France, Portugal, and Greece.

The UK has placed Spain and its archipelagos, the Balearic and Canary Islands, on its amber travel list.

This implies that fully vaccinated visitors arriving in the UK from these countries will not be subjected to self-isolation. However, they must have a coronavirus test within 72 hours of flight.

A day two PCR test must be pre-booked and paid for by vaccinated travelers. The results of this test should be included on each passenger’s passenger locator form, which should be completed prior to departure.

On their return to the UK, unvaccinated visitors must self-isolate for ten days. They must also take a pre-departure test, as well as schedule and pay for tests on days two and eight of their quarantine.

For people traveling to Spain, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) provides useful information.

“All entrants to Spain from the United Kingdom must present a pre-travel declaration form and one of the following: a negative COVID-19 test; or proof of vaccination,” according to the FCDO.

Those who use a negative coronavirus test to gain entry must take it within 72 hours of arriving in Spain.

The UK has placed France on its amber travel list.

Travelers who have been fully vaccinated and are returning to the UK from France are not subject to self-isolation. They must, however, take a pre-departure exam within 72 hours of travel.

They must also schedule and pay for a day two PCR test, which must be listed on their passenger locator form.

Before traveling, each passenger must complete a passenger locating form.
