Virgin Voyages’ Scarlet Lady UK cruise marks the company’s official debut.

Virgin Voyages’ Scarlet Lady UK cruise marks the company’s official debut.

Although international cruises have been approved, the Scarlet Lady of Virgin Voyages is opting for a staycation.

Cruises were suspended in March 2020, but will resume on August 2.

Scarlet Lady, Virgin Voyages’ first Lady ship, is about to embark on her inaugural journey, which will take place in British waters.

Scarlet Lady will return to cruising after a 16-month sabbatical, departing from Portsmouth and sailing the English Channel.

For the summer, six unique UK sailings are planned, allowing sailors the chance to experience all of the Lady Ship’s luxury right here in the UK.

Scarlet Lady, based in Portsmouth, is a boutique hotel at sea that was inspired by the elegant luxury of a boat.

There are 1,330 staterooms on board, including 78 RockStar Quarters. A balcony is included in 86 percent of the cabins, and 93 percent have a view of the ocean.

The ship is designed to be adult-only, thus no children are permitted on board.

Travelers aged 18 and older will enjoy an adult sanctuary on board Scarlet Lady, complete with Michelin-inspired cuisine, group fitness classes, and the Shake for ChampagneTM app.

The Champagne feature is unique to the Virgin Voyages Sailor App, and when passengers shake their phones, a secret Virgin Voyages Champagne button appears.

One of the many luxuries that distinguishes the new ship is the ability to have a bottle of Champagne delivered to any location on board.

With Scarlet Lady, Virgin Voyages pulled out all the stops.

The ship’s amenities include a spa with a custom-built salt therapy chamber, the world’s only Korean BBQ at sea, The Red Room, the first multiform theatre at sea, over 20 eateries on board, and cutting-edge technology.

Scarlet Lady will be available for cruises from the UK before returning to her home port of Miami, with Caribbean itineraries.

On the brand-new ship, the Summer Soirée Series offers a three-night Long Weekender or four-night Summer WeekDaze vacation.

The ship sails from Friday to Monday on the Long Weekender, and from Monday to Friday on the Summer WeekDaze.

The Summer Soirée cruises, which depart and return from Portsmouth, are the ideal way to experience the new ship on her “no destination” inaugural voyages.

The Summer Soirée Series will only be open to “Brinkwire Summary News” due to health and safety concerns.
