Vikings’ final episodes have now arrived on Amazon Prime Video and some viewers have opted to watch the last 10 episodes binge-watching.
The fates of Ragnar Lothbrok’s (Travis Fimmel) remaining sons are determined, and some viewers may be surprised at the outcome. In an unforeseen way, Hvitserk (Marco Ilsø) can return and shift.
Recently, the actor playing Hvitserk posted an epic picture of a battle scene from the latest Vikings episodes, and it’s something viewers need to see.
[Spoiler Alert: This article includes ‘Viking’ spoilers.]
What would happen to Hvitserk in “Vikings” season 6B?
His pal, King Bjorn Ironside (Alexander Ludwig), lets him live after Hvitserk accidentally kills Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick). Then Hvitserk meets Ivar (Alex Høgh Andersen), his other brother, who has allied himself with the Russians. He chooses to stay with Ivar, and he is with him when the Russians attack Scandinavia, their homeland.
The first wave of fighting was won, but in the second battle, the Rus were put on the run after Bjorn, who was stabbed by a suspected Ivar (although at that time he was entirely somewhere else), devised a plan to save his people.
Bjorn spreads a lie among the Rus that he is already dead, and he scares the Rus soldiers when he rides out to meet them.
Bjorn is hit by three arrows and his sword is still drawn. Responding to his call, his troops win the war against their enemies, but Björn dies in the process.
With Ivar defeated, Hvitserk returns to Kiev, but there is one more thing to be done.
The brothers help to overthrow Prince Oleg Price Dir (Lenn Kudryavitsky) and Igor (Oran Glynn O’Donovan) (Danila Kozlovsky). At Ivar’s insistence, Igor finally kills him. They then plan to return to the Kattegat and finally to Wessex to fight again against King Alfred (Ferdia Walsh-Peelo).
Fans are treated to some impressive images of the war between the two opposing sides, and in battle, Hvitserk proves himself.
In a strange turn of events, however, Ivar dies fighting against Alfred. He makes no effort to avoid his death, and merely stands there as a Wessex soldier repeatedly stabs him, even telling him, “Don’t be afraid.” After Ivar persuades him to leave the thick of war, Hvitserk witnesses the death of his brother. For Hvitserk, it is a sad moment, and he grieves deeply for his brother. There is a funeral for Ivar, and Hvitserk says farewell.
But he decides to convert to Christianity at the end of the last episode and to remain in Wessex when the series ends. It is an unexpected ending for Ragnar’s son.

Hvitserk fights like a real Viking warrior in the final episodes. In the fight against Alfred’s forces, he proves himself, and this is something fans have definitely noted. On Instagram, Marco Ilsø recently posted an epic fight scene with his fans. In the frame, in the final battle scene between the two parties, Hvitserk is battling a soldier from Wessex. As if preparing to strike, he had his sword extended to the side, and he was photographed in the middle of the action with his mouth open and his combat gear swaying.
The soldier stands ready to attempt to dislodge his enemy with his sword and shield.
Behind them, on both sides, there is more battle and fire can also be seen.
At the same time, a person with a camera can be seen capturing the moment.
“Me and one of the many amazing stunt performers who make you look incredible,” he wrote on Instagram.
Vikings may be over, but viewers can still rewatch the entire series to relive with their favorite characters every moment. In the coming weeks, that’s exactly what we’re going to do.
