Viewers of Loose Women applaud comedian Jason Manford as he sings live on air: ‘What a star.’

Viewers of LOOSE WOMEN took to social media in droves today to express their surprise at seeing comedian Jason Manford perform on the ITV show.

On Wednesday afternoon, ITV’s Loose Women welcomed Jason Manford to the show.

Christine Lampard, Coleen Nolan, Linda Robson, and Jane Moore, who play the show’s main characters, spoke with the entertainer about his upcoming Christmas tour.

The comedian-turned-singer also gave a live performance in the studio, prompting viewers to share their reactions on social media.

Jason was on the show to promote his upcoming Christmas Concert Tour, in which he will perform a variety of holiday tunes.

In December, he’ll perform three special shows in Salford, London, and Nottingham.

Jason has never been shy about showcasing his vocal abilities, having appeared on ITV’s The Masked Singer.

Jason was revealed to be under the Hedgehog mask during the first season of the show, after making it all the way to the final of the singing competition.

Loose Women viewers applauded the comedian’s new career path as he belted out his holiday tune.

@timmyhoop1982 commented, “(hashtag)LooseWomen Jason, what a star.”

@BABS9656 added, “@JasonManford, lovely sparkle today.”

When Jason took to Twitter to thank his followers for their messages, the compliments continued to pour in.

The former captain of the 8 Out of 10 Cats tweeted, “Thank you for all your lovely messages about singing with @joestilgoe on @loosewomen.”

“If you’re feeling festive and want to come along, tickets for London Drury Lane on December 6th and Nottingham Concert Hall on December 7th are still available,” he continued.

“Salford is almost completely sold out right now.”

And it soon became clear that it wasn’t Jason’s singing abilities that drew attention, but rather his festive suit.

Jason wore a burgundy dress with a festive glittery finish to the Loose Women stage.

“Erm loving @JasonManford’s suit! [starry-eyed emoji] (hashtag)LooseWomen,” Emma tweeted.

Gareth responded to the comedian, “Love the suit.”

“Looking good [heart emoji]I’ve popped out but got it on record x,” Michelle added.

During his appearance on the show, he discussed his motivations for performing his special holiday shows, saying, “I love a Christmas gig, a Christmas concert.”

“You can have a laugh, a sing, bring your kids, bring your grandparents, and have a sort of old school bit of a laugh and a bit of a song,” Jason said.

“This is something I’m very excited about.”
